Automate a module
Set rules that run when a module record enters a stage, build automations on its records, and start workflows by hand.
A module's records can be automated the same way as leads and deals: send a message when a ticket is resolved, set a task when a site visit is planned, tell the owner when a payment is overdue.
Stage rules on the board
For a module with a board, stage rules say what happens when a record arrives in a stage.
- Open the module and stay on the board.
- Click Automation rules.
- The window shows one column per stage. Under the stage you want, click Add rule.
- Build the rule: when it runs, any conditions, and its steps. See Create an automation.

Each rule card can be switched on or off, edited with the pencil, or deleted. A stage with no rules says Nothing happens here yet.
Automations on a module
Automations in the left menu covers your modules too.
- Open Automations and pick the module at the top. Your modules are listed after the built-in ones, by their name for many.
- Create an automation as usual. A module record can set one off when it is created, is changed, is created or changed, or only when somebody starts it. A module with a board adds enters a stage and changes stage.
The steps are the ones deals have, such as sending an email or WhatsApp message, creating a task, or changing a field. A module with products can also Add a product line or Remove product lines. Modules have no tags, so there is no tag step. See Automations overview.
Start a workflow by hand
An automation set to run only when somebody starts it appears on each record's card under Run a workflow. Open the record, click Run a workflow and pick it.
Things that move records for you
Stage rules run however a record arrives in the stage: dragged on the board, moved on the card, moved by another automation, or moved by the CRM itself. For example, a client payment whose invoices are paid in full moves to its received stage on its own, and that stage's rules run. See Client payments that pay the deal's invoices.
Who can build automations
Seeing, creating, changing and deleting automations is a right in each role, under Settings → Access → Automations. See Roles and permissions.
