Messenger and team calls

Chat with colleagues one to one or in groups, follow task and project chats, and make voice or video calls.

Guide 2401Updated

Messenger is your team's own chat inside the CRM: direct messages, group chats, and the chats that belong to tasks and projects. From any chat you can start a voice or video call.

Messenger is for talking to colleagues. Conversations with customers are in the Contact center and Webmail.

Chats and task chats

Open Messenger in the left menu. The list on the left has two tabs:

  • Chats: your Conversations (direct messages and groups), then Colleagues. Click a colleague to start a direct chat.
  • Task chats: the chats of Tasks and Projects you are part of. A task or project gets its chat the first time somebody writes in it.

A red number on a tab is the count of unread messages under it.

Find a chat or a message

Type in the search box at the top of the list. Chat names and colleagues are filtered as you type; from two letters on, matching messages appear under Messages. Click one to open that chat.

Inside an open chat, use the search icon to search only that chat.

Start a group

  1. Press the + beside the search box (New group).
  2. Type a Group name and pick the People.
  3. Press Create group.

Write, attach and keep messages

Type in Write a message… and send. The paperclip attaches a file.

Open About this chat (the panel icon at the top right of a chat) to see its members and everything shared in it, under Files, Links and Favourites. Star a message to keep it under Favourites.

Call your colleagues

At the top of an open chat, press the phone icon for a Voice call or the camera icon for a Video call. Everyone in the chat is rung.

When someone calls you, a box pops up with Answer and Decline. A video call also offers Voice, to answer without your camera. During a call you can mute, turn the camera on or off, and share your screen.
