Send a marketing campaign

Send one message to many leads, contacts, companies or deals through WhatsApp or a connected channel, and follow who got it.

Guide 3501Updated

A campaign sends one message to many people at once, with each person's own name in it. It goes out a few messages a minute, so nothing floods, and you can watch who got it, read it and wrote back.

Marketing is for owners, admins and managers only.

Before you start

Campaigns are sent through:

The line at the top of the Marketing page says what is ready to send. Email campaigns are not available yet; the page says so.

Create a campaign

  1. Open Marketing in the left menu and press New campaign.
  2. Give it a name.
  3. Where it goes: pick TicAte WhatsApp or Connected channel, and under Send from pick the number or connection.
  4. Who gets it: choose A saved segment, or Custom rules and pick Leads, Contacts, Companies or Deals with the same filters as your lists. The editor shows how many match and how many can be reached.
  5. What it says: choose Approved template or Free text and write the message. Use Insert a field to add each person's name or other details. The preview shows how it reads for the first person.
  6. When, and how fast: start On launch or At a time, and set Messages per minute.
  7. Type your own number in the box beside Test and press it to send it to yourself first, then Launch to (or Schedule for) the number of people shown. Save as draft keeps it for later.

Follow a campaign

Click a campaign in the list to open it. The tiles show Recipients, Sent, Delivered, Read, Replied, Failed and Skipped, with a progress bar. Under Recipients, see each person's status and the reason when one failed or was skipped.

While it runs you can Pause, Resume or Cancel it. Duplicate makes a copy, for example to send the same message to another audience.

The list at the top filters campaigns into All, Drafts, Scheduled, Sending and Finished.

Save an audience as a segment

On the Segments tab, press New segment, give it a name, choose the module and set the rules. A segment is a set of rules, not a fixed list: it means whoever matches at the moment a campaign uses it, so it updates by itself.

Segments
Segments

Aim a campaign at a segment to make it repeat Every day, Every week or Every month. Each run then goes only to people who joined the segment since the last one.
