Choose forms and match their questions

Pick which of a Page's lead forms send leads, say which CRM field each answer fills, and give a form its own settings.

Guide 3303Updated

A Facebook Page can have many lead forms, each asking different questions. In the Page's window you choose which forms send leads to the CRM and where each answer goes.

Open Lead sources, click the Page in the Facebook & Instagram lead ads section, and use the tabs: Forms, Field matching, Lead defaults and Recent leads.

Choose which forms send leads

On the Forms tab:

  • All forms, new ones too takes leads from every form on the Page, including forms you make later.
  • Only the forms I pick shows a tick box beside each form. Tick the forms whose leads you want.

Each form shows how many questions it has, how many leads it has sent and when the last one came. The tags under a form show its own settings; Uses the Page's settings means it has none.

If the tab says the Page has no lead forms yet, make one in Meta Ads Manager. Its leads come in without anything more to do.

Match questions to CRM fields

On the Field matching tab:

  1. If several forms are in use, pick one at the top. A number beside a form is how many of its questions are not matched yet.
  2. For each question, choose the CRM field its answer fills.
  3. Press the Save button, which carries the form's name.

Each form is matched on its own, so the same question can fill Phone on one form and a comment on another.

The CRM suggests a field for common questions, such as name, email, phone, company and job title. Suggested rows say Suggested; check them and press Save to use them.

Besides the CRM fields, each question offers:

  • + New CRM field: makes a new field named after the question, as a list with the question's choices when it has them. Only owners and admins can add CRM fields.
  • Keep in Source information: the answer is kept on the record, in its source information, but not in a field.
  • Don't keep this answer.

Only fields that fit the answer are offered. For example, a question with choices can go into a list field, and a date field is offered only for a date question.

Give one form its own settings

On the Forms tab, press Customise beside a form (or Edit once it has settings). Anything you leave as it is follows the Page's Lead defaults.

  1. What these leads become: Same as the Page, or Its own.
  2. Who gets these leads: Same as the Page, one person, or round robin.
  3. Source label.
  4. Hidden fields: fixed values for every record from this form. One set here wins over the Page's for the same field.
  5. Field matching for this form.
  6. Missed some of this form's leads? See Bring in missed Facebook leads.

Press Save. Go back to the Page's settings removes the form's own settings.

See what arrived

The Recent leads tab lists each lead the Page sent, with the form's name, an Instagram tag when it came from Instagram, and the lead it made.
