Tasks overview

Where your tasks live, how they are sorted by your part in them, and how to find what is late or due today.

Guide 4101Updated

A task is a piece of work with one person responsible for it, and usually a deadline. Use tasks for anything that has to get done: send a quote, prepare a proposal, fix a problem for a customer. Each task gets a number, such as #12, so you can find it and talk about it.

Open My Tasks under Work in the left menu. The page is called Tasks, and the line under the title tells you how many tasks are overdue, due today and due this week.

See tasks by your part in them

The buttons at the top left sort tasks by the part you play. The number beside each one is how many open tasks it holds.

  • I do: tasks where you are the responsible person.
  • I set: tasks you created for someone else.
  • I help: tasks where you are a participant.
  • I follow: tasks where you are an observer.
  • Everyone: every task you are allowed to see. Only owners, admins and managers have this button.

Find what is late or due

The coloured buttons under the toolbar narrow the list to one group. Click one to turn it on, and click it again to turn it off.

  • Overdue: the deadline has passed and the task is not done.
  • Today and This week: due today, or by the end of this week.
  • No deadline: open tasks with no date.
  • Awaiting my review: tasks you created that someone finished and that wait for you to accept. See Check a task's result before it counts as done.

Type a title or a task number such as #12 in Search tasks or #number to find one task. Finished tasks are hidden; tick show done to see them too. Use Filter for anything more particular.
