Restore deleted records from the recycle bin
Deleted leads, deals, contacts, companies, tasks and projects wait in the recycle bin until you restore them or the bin is emptied.
A wrong click should not cost you a month of work. When you delete a lead, deal, contact, company, task or project, it does not vanish: it moves to the recycle bin, out of every list, and you can put it back exactly where it was.
Open Recycle bin near the bottom of the left menu.

What you see
Deleted records are grouped by kind: leads, deals, contacts, companies, tasks and projects. Each one shows its name, its number, when it was deleted and by whom. The heading counts everything in the bin, and each group shows how many of that kind it holds.
A group lists the newest 100. When a kind has more than 100 in the bin, its heading says showing the newest 100; the count beside it is still the full number.
You see what you could have deleted yourself under your role. Owners and admins see everything.
Restore a record
Click Restore next to it. The record goes back to its list, with its details and history as they were. Go to … under each group takes you to that list.
Delete for good
Only owners and admins can do this.
- To delete one record for good, click the bin icon next to it (Delete for good) and confirm.
- To empty the whole bin, click Empty the bin at the top. You are asked twice, because there is no way back.
What does not go to the bin
Some things are deleted straight away instead of going to the bin, and the CRM asks you to confirm first:
- Products and services. Take an item off sale instead if you might sell it again.
- Estimates and invoices. An invoice with money received cannot be deleted; cancel it instead.
- Custom modules and their records when you delete the whole module.
